How would you like to find food ideas?
đWant a printable summary instead?Try the full Preferences Explorer â a deeper questionnaire you can save or bring to an appointment.âWhy start from a familiar food?
This tool uses an approach sometimes called âfood chainingâ â starting from a food your child already happily eats, then trying new foods that share similar qualities (texture, temperature, flavour, or how itâs eaten) rather than jumping to something completely different. Small, comfortable steps tend to work better than big ones. This is a small, early preview of the tool â weâll be adding more foods over time.
This tool offers general food ideas only, not individual dietary or medical advice. Always consider your childâs allergies, choking risk and developmental stage before trying a new food, and speak with a GP, dietitian, speech pathologist or occupational therapist if you have any concerns about your childâs eating, growth or safety.
