Enquiry and referral information may include sensitive information, such as health, disability, or behavioural details, about you or the person you are enquiring or referring on behalf of. This is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and receives extra protection.

We only collect sensitive information where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, and with your consent (given, for example, by submitting our enquiry form) or where otherwise permitted by Australian law.

If you are a parent, guardian, nominee, support coordinator, clinician, or other referrer providing information on behalf of someone else, please only provide information you are authorised to share.

This website does not maintain a separate client database purely for enquiry-form submissions. However, enquiry emails are still retained within Flare Therapy's business email account, and may be processed by the service providers described above (in particular Resend, in the course of delivering the email, and Google Workspace/Gmail, where it is received and held).

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, and to meet any legal, clinical, insurance, or record-keeping obligations that apply to us.
