A little about me
Meet Chris, Managing Director of Flare Therapy Services
Hi, I’m Chris — an Occupational Therapist based in Perth and the Managing Director of Flare Therapy. I work with children, teens, and young adults to build real-life skills, confidence, and independence using a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach.
Professional background
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education. This combination gives him a strong understanding of both therapeutic and educational environments, allowing him to collaborate effectively with schools, teachers, and support teams.
Experience in schools and high-support settings
Chris has previously worked extensively as a high-support Education Assistant. This hands-on experience shaped his practical, individualised approach and deepened his understanding of the everyday challenges faced by children and families.
Lived experience as a parent
As a parent of a child diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, Chris brings personal insight into the realities of navigating therapy, education systems, and support services. This perspective allows him to offer compassionate, family-centred support grounded in real understanding.
Outside of therapy
When he’s not working with clients, Chris enjoys Australian football, cricket, and swimming at the beach. He is passionate about helping people achieve meaningful growth and believes everyone deserves support that is respectful, practical, and empowering.
